The AWARE-2 is a 1 gigapixel camera that takes insanely highly detailed photos however it has a much smaller aperture. This pushes the fundamental resolution limit of optical devices. The AWARE-2 camera can be for a number of tasks including surveillance, taking high quality shots of places and of the sky.
