The Worlds First Remote Control Tourist
The tourist industry is a very competitive industry and marketers are constantly looking for new ways to attract visitors. The Australian city of Melbourne launched the innovative and fun ‘Remote Control Tourist’ project which involved two real people using microphones and helmet mounted cameras. The footage was streamed live online as visitors to the website instruct the remote control tourists. Some visitors have even suggested that the tourists should hug strangers or do other amusing things!
A fantastic idea that lets would be visitors experience the city in a unique and personal way without leaving home. The Play Melbourne Facebook Page publishes the highlights from each day and is a great place to see the opinions of locals about the sites of Melbourne.
The project will run for five days and all of the highlights from the project can be viewed online.
Melbourne is the second most populated city in Australia and is home to many different festivals and events, it has always been a popular destination for tourists and thanks to this fantastic project it can now be enjoyed by even more people from around the world.
